Midsommar

A few sights from a walk around Hyllie. There is a beautiful school and park nearby, with amazing landscaping – a local man told me it is part of a 10 year plan to create green space like Central Park in NY.

Sophia’s doll, Jen-Jill, is ready for an adventure. Drum roll, please… she and her dog are joining us on our move to Sweden! Watch for her travel updates. Tomorrow is the big day- St Paul to DC to Frankfurt to Copenhagen, and finally, across the Oresund bridge to Malmö. ???

Steamer trunk, part 2
After some cleaning, rust removal, wood wax, metal paint, and a few extra rivets, which Bryant used to fix some sharp edges, the trunk was ready to decorate. It would even be good for storage. I might have to keep it!

Hogwarts Trunk
And here is the project I’ve been working on- Lupin’s trunk. It had an old sticker on it with 1899 in the corner, maybe a travel date. Here are some “before” photos. It was made by Duluth Trunk Co. which opened in 1890.
